What the Job Looks Like
Walk the floor and the back of house. We map where terminals, printers, kitchen displays, and handhelds need to work, including the patio and the walk-in.
Plan the segments. POS gets its own network, separate from guest WiFi and office devices, with a firewall in front of all of it.
Cable and install. Wired drops for printers, KDS screens, and terminals; access points placed for handhelds; equipment labeled in the rack.
Add failover. A cellular or Starlink backup connection takes over automatically if your main internet drops during service.
Test before you open. We run the devices on the network before service starts and coordinate with your POS onboarding team on the day.
Restaurant POS FAQ
Do you work with Toast directly?
We coordinate with Toast's onboarding team and field reps during installs, and we work in both Toast-managed and non-Toast-managed setups. We also work with Aloha and other POS systems.
Why do our printers or handhelds keep dropping?
The usual causes are WiFi that wasn't designed for a busy dining room, printers on wireless that should be wired, or the POS sharing a network with everything else. We find the cause and fix it, and we can usually tell you which it is on the first visit.
Are you a PCI certifier?
No. We're a network infrastructure provider. We design restaurant networks with PCI requirements in mind, and your payment processor handles certification.
When should we call you before opening?
As early as possible, ideally while the space is still under construction, so drops go in before the walls close. At minimum, a few weeks before your POS install date. Our restaurant opening checklist covers what to have ready.
Can you set up multiple locations the same way?
