Both. We handle home networks, Starlink, and whole-property WiFi for homeowners, and networks, cabling, and IT for businesses of every size. We're also the Montana field services partner for IT firms, integrators, and national vendors.

Our office is at 1010 E. Main St. in Bozeman, and we cover the Gallatin Valley, including Big Sky, Belgrade, Manhattan, and Livingston. For partner and field services work we travel statewide, including Helena, Great Falls, Billings, Missoula, Butte, and smaller towns like Shelby. Travel is quoted up front.

Every job is scoped before a number goes out. Starlink packages and smaller one-off installs have a flat starting price we can give you on the phone. Larger projects get a written scope and estimate. For new construction or anything where the final count isn't locked yet, you'll get a budgetary range up front and a firm number once the scope is confirmed. Estimates are valid for 30 days.

It depends on the season and our project schedule. Call or text and we'll give you a real date, not a guess. If something is down at a business we already support, tell us and we'll prioritize it.

Call, text, or email us. We'll have a short conversation about what you need, walk the site if it helps, and follow up with a written scope and estimate.

We accept ACH transfer, check, and credit card. Every invoice includes a payment link, and card processing fees, if any, are disclosed in advance. Our standard terms are Net 15.

Yes. Many clients keep us on for ongoing managed IT: monitoring, updates, troubleshooting, and a local team that already knows their network. Others call us as needs come up. We're open to service agreements built around how your business runs, from standard business-hours support to faster response for operations that can't go down.

Yes. We start by assessing and documenting what's there, then tell you plainly what we'd keep, what we'd change, and why. Several of our clients came to us this way.

Yes. Big Sky Wired carries commercial general liability and technology errors and omissions coverage, and certificates of insurance (including additional-insured endorsements) are available on request. Our installers are Leviton certified, and electrical scope is handled by licensed electricians under subcontract.

Our installation work carries a 90-day workmanship warranty from project completion. Hardware is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Full details are in our terms of service.

We plan the work, install it cleanly, test every run, and document what we built, so the next person who opens your rack knows exactly what's there. And when something comes up, you're calling a local team that already knows your network.

We focus on custom Starlink projects: large homes, ranches and multi-building properties, businesses that need Starlink as a primary or backup connection, and properties where a basic install didn't solve the problem. We can supply the equipment and service plan through our Starlink partner, design the mount and cabling, and build the WiFi that reaches every building. Usually, yes. Slow speeds and dropouts typically come from dish placement, obstructions, cable routing, or a router that can't cover the house. We'll find the cause and fix it, and if the house needs more than one router can deliver, we'll add proper access points.

Yes. We connect outbuildings with point-to-point wireless links or buried fiber and bring everything onto one network, so you don't need a separate Starlink at every building.

Often, yes. Many homes have structured wiring that was never put to use. We test what's there, terminate and label it, and turn it into wired connections for TVs, offices, and access points.

Yes. We coordinate with your provider's install, make sure the line lands where your network should live, and set up the router, WiFi, and any wired connections from there.

As early as possible. On new construction, the best time is during framing, before insulation and drywall, so cable and conduit go in clean. If you're buying, we can walk the house and tell you what it would take to get the coverage you want.

Yes. We build restaurant networks with the POS on its own segment, separate from guest WiFi and back-office devices, with internet failover so a dropped connection doesn't stop service. We work in both Toast-managed and non-Toast-managed setups. We're a network infrastructure provider, not a payment processor or PCI certifier: we design networks with PCI requirements in mind, and your processor handles certification.

Yes. We set up a second connection (cellular or Starlink) that takes over automatically when your primary internet drops, so registers, phones, and staff stay online.

Yes. We install IP camera systems and cloud-managed access control, including readers, controllers, and the wiring between them. We connect to your door hardware; supplying and installing the locks and strikes themselves is typically handled by your GC or door hardware vendor, and we coordinate directly with them.

Yes. We handle structured cabling and network builds for new construction, tenant improvements, and remodels, coordinated around other trades and construction milestones. We speak the language of GCs and electrical teams (Division 27 communications, Division 28 electronic safety and security) and document everything for your project file. Bring us in early: some decisions, like conduit and sleeves before a slab pour or cable before drywall, can't be undone later.

Yes. We're the field arm for IT firms, MSPs, integrators, and national vendors with sites in Montana. You own the client relationship; we execute your scope, follow your standards, and send back photos, test results, and a written summary for your file.
