Custom Starlink Installation for Montana Properties

Starlink performs best when it’s engineered for the property, not just plugged in. Big Sky Wired designs and installs custom Starlink systems for ranches, estates, multi-building properties, and businesses across southwest Montana: the right mount in the right spot, and a real network behind it that reaches every building.

Built for properties that need more than a box on the roof

  • Large homes where the Starlink router can’t cover the house

  • Ranches and properties with shops, barns, guest houses, or cabins to connect

  • Businesses running Starlink as a primary connection or automatic backup

  • Cabins, lodges, and rentals that need guest WiFi at every door

  • Sites where the dish has to live on a pole or an outbuilding to see the sky

  • Properties that already have Starlink but aren’t getting the performance they should

Equipment and service plans are supplied through our Starlink partner, so one local team is responsible for the whole setup.

What a custom install includes

  • Site survey for sky view and obstructions before anything is mounted

  • Custom mounting on a roof, wall, pole, or ground mount, placed where the dish performs

  • Long cable runs with outdoor-rated cable, conduit, and sealed penetrations

  • A business-grade router and firewall in place of the stock Starlink router where it makes sense

  • Whole-property WiFi with access points indoors and out

  • Wireless or fiber links to outbuildings, so one Starlink can serve the whole property

  • Automatic failover between Starlink and a second connection

  • Remote monitoring after install day

How it works

  1. Tell us about the property: the address, the buildings, and what isn’t working.

  2. We walk the site and design the system around sky view, distances, and how you use the property.

  3. You get a written scope and price before any work starts.

  4. We install, test coverage in every building, and hand off clear documentation.

  5. If you want it, we keep monitoring the system after install day.

Is a custom install the right fit?

We focus on Starlink projects that need design work. If you only need a standard roof mount for a kit you’ve already bought, a basic installer will usually be the better value. If your property needs more than that, or a basic install didn’t solve the problem, that’s exactly the work we do.

See it in action: one network across a whole ranch, and getting real performance out of Starlink on a large property.

Tell us about your property. Send a few photos and the address, and we’ll tell you what it would take.
